The following steps apply to those currently residing in Japan. There are four stages to complete before teaching; the time involved will depend on the specific circumstances of the individual applicant.

   • Information Seminar and first interview
   • Official interview
3. Contracting stage
   • Contract offer
   • Visa processing (if necessary)
   • In-processing
4. Teaching certification stage
   • Initial Certification (3 days)
   • On-the-Job Certification
